Now in the iOS App Store is the Doctor Who: Sonic Screwdriver (Official) (for iOS 5 or later). Is if it wasn’t already overused on the television series, now it’s available on our iPhone. It includes four 3D models of sonic screwdrivers and thankfully not just limited the last seven years. It gives you a choice of two kinds of backgrounds for your sonic screwdriver. One is “transparent” (thanks to the rear camera) which emulates holding the actual sonic screwdriver as it will pick up whatever background you are pointing your iOS device towards (pretty nifty, huh?). Of course it has various sonic screwdriver sounds (it wouldn’t be “sonic” otherwise). You can even shake the 11th Doctor’s model to extend it. Plus it’s a flashlight app as well (for those with a camera flash and who haven’t updated to iOS 7 which now has it built-in the OS, may find this feature handy).
This english-speaking teaser promo with spanish sub-titles seems to have been leaked on the net today for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, 'The Day of the Doctor' - Watch while you can now. It features Matt Smith, David Tennant, and John Hurt along with other familiar faces.
The (original) video has been removed at the source. Word is that the BBC will be debuting the promo this weekend though. So if you missed it, you should should be able to see it in the next day or two.
In 2010, Kitsune Books published the first volume of the Mythological Dimensions series, The Mythological Dimensions of Doctor Who. This was soon followed by the award winning The Mythological Dimensions of Neil Gaiman. We were to continue with the Mythological Dimensions series covering other areas of interest, however, in December 2012 Kitsune Books closed due to unforseen circumstances
It's a while since I posted a blog item here - but with Podshock back and Louis regaining his podcasting logs - I thought I would post this link on the GE page

Here it is in case you haven't seen it yet or simply want to see it again, the Doctor Who 50th anniversary tribute video promoting 'The Day of the Doctor' episode coming on the 23rd of November.
All eleven Doctors can be seen in the video, some more prominently than others. Along with the Doctors themselves, there are some other familiar elements that can spotted throughout the promo.
Recovered 'missing episodes' from Africa for the Doctor Who stories, 'The Web of Fear' and 'The Enemy of the World' both starring Patrick Troughton as the Doctor thought to have been lost forever have been remastered and are now on iTunes!
Episode 3 of the 1968 story 'The Web of Fear' has been reconstructed using stills and audio, the other episodes of this 6 episode adventure have been remastered.
It's great to finally have "new" old Doctor Who to watch. Each story is $9.99 (USD) or $1.99 (USD) per episode. Links to both are below:
Many have been asking about Doctor Who: Podshock and our other ATP shows in the wake of the devastation left by Superstorm Sandy. Recovery continues though our shows should be resuming shortly. I posted this latest blog entry about it. See the link below.
Sandy Aftermath Day 338: It's been "a year from hell" recovering and restoring from the mass devastation which Superstorm Sandy caused. There's still a great deal more to do, though it's getting closer to where a sense of "normality" will prevail while ongoing recovery work continues. This means our shows will be resuming shortly including Doctor Who: Podshock and perhaps a new one or two as well.
Anthony Burdge here, editor/author of The Mythological Dimensions of Doctor Who. I would like to offer a bit of an update from my end about our new book, and our book signing event, plus our review of Ken Deep and James Naughton new podcasting venture: Doctor Who: An Occasional Podcast.
Firstly our first two books, The Mythological Dimensions of Doctor Who and the award winning The Mythological Dimensions of Neil Gaiman have been re-published under the Myth Ink Books publishing imprint. Our publisher Kitsune Books closed on 12/31/12 and both are now again available via Amazon and other online booksellers, plus for your Kindle devices as well.
