Here is the prologue mini adventure from the BBC for the 2012 Doctor Who series, Pond Life. All five parts are included below so you can view them one after the other (each is very short). As the name implies, it focuses around Amy and Rory, but the Doctor is also included in each.
The complete five episodes (or chapters) are below one after the other. UPDATE: Wouldn't you know as this was being posted here, the BBC released an omnibus version of Pond Life as one video of all five parts? They have and now instead of the 5 parts below, here is the complete all-in-one version which runs 5 minutes and 22 seconds:
The BBC released a teaser promo video for the upcoming first episode of the new 2012 series of Doctor Who titled 'Asylum of the Daleks' (coming to BBC One on 1 September 2012).
Richard E. Grant has been cast in the upcoming 2012 Doctor Who Christmas special. The news came from a tweet from Doctor Who Magazine today. It's interesting to see an official-unofficial past Doctor actor return to the series. You may recall that Richard E. Grant was the original 9th Doctor in the Scream of the Shalka, a story written by Paul Cornell. This animated adventure was produced prior to the television series being relaunched in 2005. We reviewed Scream of the Shalka not too long ago in Doctor Who: Podshock 267. In it, we discussed Richard E. Grant's portrayal of the Doctor and how Scream was the forerunner of Rose.
Matt Smtih (the 11th Doctor on Doctor Who) and Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes on Sherlock) presents Steven Moffat (executive producer of both aforementioned series) with his special 2012 BAFTA award.
So that you all don't bored the two part mini adventure written once again by UK school children, is finally here for your Perousal! ENJOY....PS Happy Towel Day.
The first two series of Matt Smith as the Doctor has been recreated in a video simulating an old style (I would say 16-bit) video game running just over 4 minutes long. Be warned, there are spoilers pertaining to the these two series (if you are not up to date).
Thanks to @EoghannIrving for the heads up on this one.
BBC News coverage of the "official Doctor Who Convention" in the UK this weekend interviewing Danny Hargreaves.
Often at the end of each year society looks back at those we have lost in the past year as a memorial. That is what this video does in regards to Doctor Who. This year being especially tough as we lost two performers that played major key companion roles in the series, but every passing is sad.
This video reports on BFI's screening of the two missing Doctor Who from Galaxy Four and The Underwater Menace recently discovered.
If the Prequel (see previous story) doesn't get your juices running for the Christmas special perhaps this interview with Matt will. Though if the Prequel doesn't start getting you excited I quote the 11th Doctor at this point "What's wrong with you?"
It's that time of the year again and we are just weeks away from a new Doctor Who Christmas special. Due to arrive on December 25th on the BBC and BBC America, the new special starring Matt Smith titled The Doctor, The Widow, and the Wardrobe was written by Steven Moffat. The following video is a "prequel" to the special.
In case you missed it (as I had), here is the Doctor Who segment with Matt Smith from this year's Children in Need charity which also includes a 'trailer' preview of this year's Christmas special titled, The Doctor, The Widow, and the Wardrobe. The special is slated for Christmas Day in the UK.

The upcoming 2011 Doctor Who Christmas special is once again about Christmas to no surprise. It appears to finally have a name too, Doctor Who: The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe. Here is the video promo for it:
Evacuated to a house in Dorset from war-torn London, Madge Arwell and her two children, Lily and Cyril, are greeted by a madcap caretaker whose mysterious Christmas gift leads them into a magical wintry world.
Starring: Matt Smith and Claire Skinner. Executive Producers: Steven Moffat, Piers Wenger and Caroline Skinner
The final touches are being made on the latest episode of Doctor Who: Podshock and should be released later today to supporting subscribers. In the meantime, here are some soothing sounds by the Doctor Who Fan Orchestra with their second collaboration, "This is Gallifrey" / "Vale Decem" by Murray Gold. Another piece of outstanding work and coordination by musically gifted fans and arranged by Stephen Willis.
New York Comic Con is here again! October 13-16th at the Javits Center in New York. It's the largest east coast popular culture convention. Each year, it is growing in size and this year is no exception.
We have been attending each year and last year we recorded an episode of Doctor Who: Podshock live at the event to a standing room only audience with special guest Tony Lee of IDW Publishing (Doctor Who ongoing comic book series). You can listen to our live show from 2010 here: Doctor Who: Podshock 225. We would had done another live show this year at the event, but unfortunately, there isn't a Doctor Who guest there this year. Last year, Alien Entertainment brought over Daphne Ashbrook (Grace from the 1996 TV movie). Word is this year they are bringing Ian McNeice (Churchill) to their booth. You may recall, we interviewed McNeice earlier this year live on stage at Gallifrey One (see Doctor Who: Podshock 240.
Here is a little taste of New York Comic Con in this video from last year (2010):
"Death is the Only Answer" is a mini episode produced as a result of a 'Script to Screen' competition geared to children (9 to 11 years old) which you may had seen documented on Doctor Who Confidential. The winning entry resulted in having their script produced into a mini episode which was shown in the finale episode of Doctor Who Confidential on Saturday. This is that mini episode.
The final series of Sarah Jane Adventures, features in the CBBC (Childrens BBC) trailer for the autumn start. So it is obviously was important enough to be included in the trailer, here's the trailer for your perusal.
I'm not sure how long this will remain watchable but enjoy while it does.
