In the closing moments of Saturday's Doctor Who episode "The TIme of Angels" as the Doctor was giving his, "The one thing you never put in a trap" speech.  An advert for the next programme, featuring a cartoon of Graham Norton apeared distracting many from the action on screen, and anoying them enough to complain. The BBC promptly apolgised after in thier own words said "thousands of complaints" had been recieved.

This though was not the first time adverts for following shows had blended in at the closing moments of Doctor Who. In 2005 it was Graham Norton who also came up. This is not a new problem as the screen grab from the closing moments of episode 1 of Daleks back in 1963 shows the BBC have been often guilty of this, blending in of adverts for the next programme.

The Overnight Viewing figures are out for the Time of Angels.  6.8 Million watched and that's a combined BBC 1 and BBC HD number as the episode was simulcast.  it also managed to grab 36% of the viewing Audience.  As it looks there seems to be a steady number of viewers now, and the full figures will be known in 10n days.

Executive Producer and Lead Writer for Doctor Who, Steven Moffat writes in the BBC TV Blog about The Return of the Weeping Angels (The Time of Angels). He says, "Good Doctor Who monsters have to come back - it's a rule. But my feeling is that you always have to bring back a monster and do something different with it."

Doctor Who: Podshock will be once again be taking to the net this Sunday (25 April 2010) for a live-over-the-net show reviewing the fourth episode of the new series, The Time of Angels. 

He's back… and it's about time! We return with our live-over-the-net review series this time talking about the 4th episode of the new series starring Matt Smith as the Doctor premiering on BBC One this Saturday (coming to BBC America on May 8th). We will be reviewing The Time of Angels.
